1830 mourning dress, veil, and hat.

1830s Mourning Gown or Widows Dress is made of black shantung, trimmed with hand made flowers centered with a glass bead, neckline is bordered with a self-fabric piping, leg-o’-mutton sleeves that have small tucks at the top which is edged with a small candle wicked rosebud braid, a cuff turned up at the wrist with hand made buttons of the same dress fabric. Closure in back, and a belt at the waist. A chemisette made of black chiffon is under the dress.

Hat, Veil, and Beaded Snood are each sold separately.

Hat is made of Shantung and Buckram edged with a small candle wicked rosebud braid, veil is made of chiffon and trimmed with a reproduction crocheted trim. Hand made flowers on each side of the brim. Fully cotton lined. Original Pattern was dated c.1825-1830
